2000 Results

Eastern Region Summer Basketball Tournament
Worcester, MA - June 24, 25

In the men's division there were four teams: two from New York, one from Worcester and one from Boston. The winners were Boston, led by former Syracuse University player Marius Janulis, defeating New York I in the finals 55:38.
In the consolation round Worcester defeated New York II 67:62 for the third place.
In the first round Boston defeated Worcester 71:61 and NY I defeated NY II 66:51

The junior division tournament had one team from Boston, one from New York and it was decided to allow New York women to play in the same tournament. In the round robin event the results were:
New York juniors defeated Boston 36:31 and women 46:40 For the second place Boston defeated New York women 37:34.

Saturday night party in Dover Mass was a blast.

RECAP
LAK had a very good showing this year. The Junior C sqaud took 3rd place in their division, and the combined junior girls B with Philadelphia also took third. The girls lost an extremely close match against Chicago Lituanica in semifinals 49:46. LAK junior B had a disappointing tournament due to the lack of players.
