CalendarLAK Area Events LAK basketball practices are currently held on Fridays 7 - 9 p.m. at St. Vincent's Gym, N 7th St., Brooklyn, New York, 11211. 2008 SALFASS EVENTS New York LAK encourages club members to participate in any of the numerous tournaments organized by the Lithuanian Athletic Union of North America (LAUNA, or SALFASS in Lithuanian). We will post more information as it becomes available. If you are interested in these events or have interests in other sports, contact Donatas Augylius or Juozas Milukas. March 8 through 11 - Lithuanian Ski Camp in Saint Donat, Canada. More Information March 15 - "Ambassador’s Cup 2008" in Washington, D.C. - Men's Basketball March 22-29 - SALFASS Ski Competition in Aspen, Colorado April 5 and 6 - Men's Senior Basketball tournament (age 35 and over) in New Jersey May 17 and 18 - North American Lithuanian Basketball tournament for boys and girls ages 6 - 16 in Detroit, MI May 23-25 - North American Lithuanian Sports Festival in Toronto, Ontario. Competition in basketball (men, women and junior A class), volleyball (men, women and mixed teams) , and chess. OTHER June, 2009 - World Lithuanian Sports Festival in Lithuania |
